Scheduling Your Affirmations

 

A lot of people believe that they have to read their affirmations as soon as they get up in the morning. Worse still, they think that once they have completed this task, they do not have to look at their affirmations any more until the next day.

This is definitely not the case. There are no hard and fast rules about when you should use your affirmations and how often you should use them. Reading your affirmations when you get up will give you a great start to the day but you do not have to use them at this time if it doesn’t suit you.

 

Determine the Best Time for your Affirmations

Not everyone is a morning person. If you tend to feel like a zombie when you get up in the morning then reading your affirmations in this state is probably not going to produce the best results for you. Some people are more alive as the morning progresses or feel more motivated in the afternoons or the evenings.

You need to determine your best time during the day. If you are a night owl and tend to be at your best in the small hours then read your affirmations then. Always remember that when you read your affirmations you need to do this with total belief and passion so choose a time when you know you will be in the best frame of mind to do this.

A lot of people feel really pressured in the mornings. They always seem to be running late and tend to do everything in a hurry. You do not want to read your affirmations in a hurry. It is critical that you take your time and read them correctly.

 

Start a Journal

If you do not have a journal where you record your thoughts and events of the day then you need to start one today. Just use a cheap notepad to get started. Write all of your affirmations in your journal so that you can easily access them.

We also recommend that you use a calendar or some form of schedule and add your affirmation reading to this each day. It doesn’t matter if this is a computer schedule or a paper-based one. Just ensure that you include reading your affirmations. If you use a computer-based scheduler you can set alerts to remind you to perform your affirmations.

 

Use your Affirmations whenever you need them

You need to read your affirmations at least once a day but you do not have to leave it at that. Keep a copy of your affirmations with you at all times so that you can read them whenever you need them.

If you have had a tough day and need some additional motivation then your affirmations will provide this for you. Maybe you have to do something that you have never done before. Read your affirmations to provide you with the necessary encouragement to follow through.

 

Write out your Affirmations

There is great power in writing things down. So, you can use your journal to write out your affirmations to maintain your commitment to them. You can write each affirmation more than once to get the best results. Write them at least three times and as many times as you want to make them stick.
